About Me
I’m Max Baker, a photographer based in central Ohio. I shoot both digital and film, and I’m drawn to the slower, more intentional process that photography demands. What started as a project while working on publicity for a theatre production quickly turned into a deeper interest in documenting people, places, and the moments that often go unnoticed.

My background in communication, film studies, and theatre shapes how I approach images—thinking about light, composition, and the small narratives that exist within a single frame. At the same time, much of my work happens in fast-paced, dynamic environments, where being able to adapt quickly and capture moments as they unfold is just as important as careful planning.

I’m particularly interested in the tactile side of photography: different cameras, film stocks, and the craft behind making an image. At its core, photography is how I learn to see. I’m always experimenting, always learning, and always looking for the next image.

With OYM, I strive to give anyone I work with the opportunity to execute their unique vision and deliver a gallery that screams "you"!​ I love getting photos to look pristine in the traditional sense, but I also love thinking outside the box to create something that has never been done before!
I'm based in Ohio and I offer headshots, graduation photos, event photography, and weddings.
